The coastline of Cesenatico extends for 7 kilometres and the beach is between 100 and 200 metres wide, with fine flat golden sands.

The sea-bed is soft, without holes or currents and is gently sloped, making the area especially suited to children and "beginners".
The temperature is already mild in May and remains pleasant through September.
